Knowledge Space Consortium

The Knowledge Space Consortium was formed by MASS in 2007 to provide a strong team of best-in-class partners as a coherent organisation with a single point of contact (MASS) offering managed ICT and education solutions into the BSF procurement authorities.

Notwithstanding the demise of the BSF programme following the change of government in May 2010, MASS is still able to offer the same wide range of expertise from the consortium. It now provides managed ICT solutions tailored for a range of clients from council-led school groups, through to academies and independent schools.

The Knowledge Space consortium model allows MASS to offer a range of solutions, where customers have the option of selecting either a complete 'end to end' education solution or a permutation of modular ICT options that will fulfill their specific requirements. The optimum package of modular components and learning methodologies is then worked up through active engagement with the individual customer and close liaison with consortium members.

The MASS ethos is to maximise the re-use of good practice, content collateral and infrastructure to provide a service that is effective, efficient, sustainable and affordable.

Knowledge Space utilises ISO 9001 accredited processes to perform:

  • Requirements Capture
  • Analysis and System Design
  • Systems Development
  • Customer Review, Approval and Sign Off

Please see MASS Education Supply Chain for the list of Knowledge Space members.
