Electronic Warfare
MASS is the sole UK provider of truly Joint EW Operational Support (EWOS) services. Our capabilities include EW database management systems, EW training & planning tools, training, tactics & countermeasures, test & evaluation, research, systems analysis and the supply of expert personnel. These are supported by staff with extensive experience from the tactical to the strategic levels of EW and by recent combat experience. The recent acquisition of Abacus EW has significantly enhanced our Joint EW offering. This increasingly wide experience means we can advise and train in areas as diverse as Land RC-IED operations and advanced countermeasure development for sophisticated air platforms. Not only do we provide specific EW advice and training but we can also assist international customers in the development and setting up of entire Joint EW centres with the associated infrastructure. Our ability to do so is underpinned by the support we have provided to the UK's Defence EW Centre for many years with the provision of specialist expertise in countermeasures development, design and through-life support of the Defence EW Database (DEWDB), management of the classified IT systems and maintenance of the network used by the organisation.
