Description:

World class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire is currently looking to recruit 2 Project Controller’s on a subcontract basis.

The candidate must be eligible for UK MoD clearance for access to the appropriate security level.

The contract is initially for 6 months (ongoing after).

The rate on offer is negotiable.

ROLE PURPOSE:

To provide and develop best practice Project Control practices across the project - increase project performance by providing accurate and timely Project Control information.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Sound knowledge of Company processes and procedures relevant to Project Control.
  
• Computer literate.
  
• Extensive experience in project control.
  
• Good communication skills at all levels.
  
• Commercial and Financial awareness

• Provide, understand and present Project Control information at internal reviews, meetings and workshops
  
• Establish, update and maintain all relevant Project Control registers
  
• Gather and challenge information from Project Core teams in terms of planning, resource forecasting and bid information
  
• Support Engineering and Business and Performance to develop and maintain the Contract, Target, Intermediate and Resourced plans in Primavera
  
• Report project progress and performance at all levels, establishing and maintaining the internal company standard reporting packs as well as any project specific performance measurement metrics
  
• Highlight variances to the Engineering and Project Business teams of schedule and cost and ensure mitigation plans are put in place
  
• Support the risk management process, preparing and maintaining risk and opportunity databases and administer contingency budgets. Undertake schedule risk analysis when required.
  
• Understand Earned Value Management methodology and apply when required
  
• Control released funding via the Company task loading process
  
• Manage and support the generation of bids for future project requirements
  
• Responsible for compilation and accuracy of Workload Forecast data
  
• Compile monthly and half yearly Cost @ Completion data, working closely with project Finance, Project Management and the Senior Project Controller
  
• Understand and challenge Engineering, Production and Project plans
  
• To have an awareness of Functional developments and strategies
