World class Defence Organisation based in Bristol is currently looking to recruit a Platform Systems Engineer.

The candidate must be eligible for UK MoD clearance for access to the appropriate security level.

The contract is initially for 3 months (ongoing after).

The rate on offer is negotiable.

Job Description:

Platform Systems Engineer to take defined systems requirements and create testable hardware solutions within C2 & Launcher Systems Team.

Take hardware Defined Specs to develop architectures, select processing platforms, develop and maintain interfaces, select and procure hardware components

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

Systems Level Experience, understanding of requirements.
Knowledge and experience of platform systems and integration desirable eg FRES, Land Vehicles
Knowledge and experience of hardware: Intel and VME architecture essential
An understanding of Electronics / Mechanical / Software design and integration into products
Experience of hardware procurement
Experience of maritime hardware desirable
Experience of land based hardware desirable
Experience of environment qualification definition desirable
Awareness of DOORS
