World class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire is currently looking to recruit a Senior Engineer (Involving Test, Support and Integration) contractor.

Please Note: The candidate must be eligible for UK MoD clearance for access to the appropriate security level.

The contract is initially for 6 months (ongoing after).

The rate on offer is negotiable.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Additional technical support to the Engineering Manager, Brimstone (under the RevISE support contract). Provision of the engineering support to the dsda Depot who are responsible for the routine weapon preparation, maintenance and testing of the Brimstone missile.

The role will require liaison with the MoD Brimstone Project Team and sub-contactors on a routine basis and investigation of problems and issues as they arise.

Provide rapid responses to queries and issues emanating from the User during Operation Herrick.


EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

The role demands someone with a sound engineering background with knowledge of life management issues and preferably with experience associated with the Brimstone Weapon System. Familiarity of both HMG and MBDA procedures is required.

This role requires organisational and team working skills in a multi-disciplined environment covering Procurement, Commercial and Project in addition to the Customer and Sub-contractors.

The Senior Engineer will be expected to travel to various locations, mainly in UK, sometimes at very short notice.
