BOEING V-22 Study Won
MASS has just been awarded a contract with the Boeing Company. The project is to carry out a UK-based study for the Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office responsible for delivering the V-22 'Osprey' tilt rotor aircraft into service. The V-22 has the speed and range of a turbo prop plus the ability to land, take off and operate like a conventional helicopter. Recognising that the unique characteristics of the V-22 are potentially very attractive, Boeing has contracted MASS to carry out an assessment of a number of potential operational scenarios where V-22 could make a significant difference. The study will run through to June 2005.
