MASS, a Cohort plc company, today announces that it has been selected as an approved supplier on the Becta ICT Services framework agreement, which was launched on 8th November.
The framework has been structured to ease the burden on schools, colleges and training providers investing in and maintaining effective ICT systems and is divided into two distinct lots:
MASS is one of only 14 companies approved to provide services under both Lots.
To become an approved supplier, MASS had to complete a rigorous evaluation process in which it demonstrated its capability to meet Becta’s technical and service requirements and to understand the needs of the education and skills sectors. The ICT Services Framework has been designed to help local authorities, regional broadband consortia, school consortia and academy trusts to purchase ICT services designed to meet their own unique local circumstances.
The framework runs until November 2014 providing education and skills customers with a quick and easier route to procure from approved, high quality, trusted suppliers in a fully EU-compliant manner. The total value of purchases through this framework agreement is estimated to be £400m.
Ashley Lane, Managing Director, said "We are very pleased to be in a position where we can help a wider range of educational establishments with our skills in e-security and system integration. These skills have been honed in the demanding market place of Defence where we have gained a high reputation for technical excellence and customer service."
