On 20 December 2012, six students from the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) graduated from the MASS (a Cohort plc company) Electronic Warfare (EW) Course. This EW course took place over six months, the first two of which were undertaken in Bangkok, and then continued in MASS’s Lincoln facility. The students ranged in rank from Flight Sergeant to Wing Commander, and this is the second in a series of EW courses MASS has run for the Royal Thai Air Force.
The graduation ceremony took place at Washingborough Hall in Lincoln and was attended by Air Vice-Marshal Sopon of the RTAF; Andy Thomis, Chief Executive Officer Cohort plc; Ashley Lane, MASS’s Managing Director; Chris Stanley, EWOS Director and Lennart Zettergren from the Gripen Project.
Ashley Lane, MD MASS, said "We congratulate these students on their successful graduation. Their hard work combined with the high quality of MASS’s expert trainers, instruction and advanced facilities positions them well in their future careers. They leave as very capable EW Officers, and also as friends, so we look forward to continuing our EW training relationship with the Royal Thai Air Force."
Andy Thomis, CEO Cohort plc, added "This is an important milestone to mark the successful completion of the Electronic Warfare course by our six students and I am delighted that Air Vice Marshal Sopon and such a senior team joined us to congratulate this very successful class of students on their achievements over the last six months."
Air Vice-Marshal Sopon, Royal Thai Air Force, expressed his sincere thanks for the professional Advanced EW training delivered to his RTAF Officers, stating that the six-month course has strengthened the existing relationship between MASS and the RTAF.
