On 26 November 2013, MASS, a Cohort plc company, hosted a Communications Electronics Security Group (CESG) classified threat briefing for consultants from the CESG Listed Adviser Scheme (CLAS) at its headquarters in Cambridge. The briefing provided specialists in the field with an update on the latest cyber threats.
From small beginnings over a decade ago, CLAS has developed into a network of nearly 650 advisors. Threats to information systems come from increasingly sophisticated and varied cyber attacks. When information is lost or damaged it can have a significant impact on an organisation. Whether caused by accident or through malicious intent, the outcome is invariably the same: financial impact and loss of reputation.
Ashley Lane, Managing Director of MASS, said “We have been involved in secure information, communications and technology for over 30 years. We recognised the importance of the CLAS scheme early on, and our Information Assurance (IA) team advise government and industry, as well as providing them with solutions. I am proud of the valuable work they do, and one of the team was the first in the UK to be awarded the CLAS certification under a new IA professionalism scheme.”
CLAS consultants provide high-quality Information Assurance advice to government and industry.
