The Cohort plc Business Excellence Awards lunch was held on 12th November. Around 25 short-listed nominees attended from across the Group, and were presented with cash prizes and commemorative glassware. The awards recognise the important contribution that individuals and teams make across the Group. MASS submitted a number of strong nominations and secured a Silver and a Bronze Award. The Silver award was received for developing an original and innovative approach, much of it in his own time, to solving a customer’s problem and maintaining operational effectiveness on active military missions. The Bronze Award was given to Team Sentry for their outstanding performance in delivering a new IT system and software to their customer.
Ashley Lane, Managing Director of MASS, said "To secure two Business Excellence awards demonstrates the strength of our people and their commitment. It was a shame that the Team Sentry team were unable to attend the luncheon and receive their award as, demonstrating the values for which they received the award, they were working flat-out to ensure another critical customer delivery."
Andy Thomis, Cohort Chief Executive, said: "All of the success that we have in the group is ultimately the result of hard efforts by individuals doing challenging jobs well. I hope these awards serve to provide some recognition for some of our unsung heroes, as well as those who are clearly leading from the front."
