Electronic Warfare Training Courses
This Electronic Warfare (EW) Foundation course will provide personnel with an introduction to Air, Land and Maritime EW and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), enabling personnel to progress to further role specific training or fulfil a position within an intelligence related organisation.
Course duration: 10 days
Course Pre-Requisites: No knowledge of Electronic Warfare is required prior to attendance.
Location: UK or Overseas
This Communications Intelligence (COMINT) / Communications Electronic Support Measures (CESM) Foundation course will equip COMINT personnel with the pre-requisite training and knowledge of CESM in order to fulfil their operational roles.
Course Duration: 10 days
Course Pre-Requisites: Completion of the Electronic Warfare (EW) Foundation course would be beneficial prior attendance.
Location: UK or Overseas
This Communications Intelligence (COMINT) / Communications Electronic Support Measures (CESM) Advanced course will provide personnel with an in-depth knowledge of COMINT / CESM. Upon successful completion, personnel will be able to exploit voice and data communications, with an emphasis on modern and emerging capabilities.
Course Duration: 15 days
Course Pre-Requisites: Completion of the COMINT / CESM Foundation course or at least 1-year operational CESM experience would be beneficial prior to attendance.
Location: UK or Overseas
This Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) / Radar Electronic Support Measures (ESM/RESM) course will equip ELINT personnel with the pre-requisite training and knowledge of ESM/RESM in order to fulfil their operational roles.
Course Duration: 10 days
Course Pre-Requisites: Completion of the Electronic Warfare (EW) – Foundation Course would be beneficial prior attendance.
Location: UK or Overseas
This Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) / Radar Electronic Support Measures (ESM/RESM) course will provide personnel with an in-depth knowledge of ELINT / ESM/RESM. Upon successful completion, personnel will be able to conduct analysis and reporting of Radar and associated weapons systems.
Course Duration: 15 days
Course Pre-Requisites: Successful completion of ELINT / ESM/RESM Foundation course would be beneficial prior to attendance.
Location: UK or Overseas
The Analysis Foundation course introduces personnel to Critical Thinking and teaches how biases, values and experiences affect decisions and conclusions. Personnel are introduced to analytical techniques for producing auditable assessments for decision-makers.
Course Duration: 5 days
Course Pre-Requisites: Although not essential, personnel would benefit from previous experience in the intelligence arena.
Location: UK or Overseas
This Analysis Advanced course is designed for experienced intelligence analysts operating in multi-threat environments. It details an analyst's role throughout the intelligence process, teaches a range of analytical and presentational techniques and introduces analysts to deeper Critical Thinking. It details how bias, values, experiences and assumptions affect decisions and conclusions. It provides personnel with the skills to operate at the tactical, operational and strategic level.
Course duration: 10 days
Course Pre-Requisites: Previous experience as an intelligence analyst is essential.
Location: UK and Overseas
This Electro-Optics / Infra-Red (EO/IR) course will provide personnel with the basics of EO/IR systems and the uses of this technology across various applications with a view of enhancing Countermeasure Development (CMDev) and Platform Protection.
Course Duration: 5 days
Course Pre-Requisite: Completion of the Air & Maritime Platform Protection (APP) Foundation course would be beneficial prior attendance.

This Air & Maritime Platform Protection (APP) Foundation course will provide personnel with an awareness of the primary factors involved in the vulnerability and protection of Air and Maritime platforms.
Course Duration: 5 days
Course Pre-Requisite: Completion of the Electronic Warfare (EW) Foundation course would be beneficial prior attendance.
Location: UK or Overseas
This Air & Maritime Platform Protection (APP) Advanced course builds on the APP Foundation course, equipping personnel with enhanced knowledge of the vulnerabilities and protection of Air and Maritime platforms.
Course Duration: 10 days
Course Pre-Requisites: Completion of the Electronic Warfare (EW) Foundation and the Air & Maritime Platform Protection (APP) Foundation courses would be beneficial prior to attendance.
Location: UK or Overseas
This Threat Vulnerability Assessment & Countermeasure Development (TVACD) course will provide Air and Maritime personnel, involved in Platform Protection, with an introduction to threat vulnerability analysis and the subsequent development of effective Countermeasures (CM).
Course Duration: 15 days
Course Pre-Requisites: Personnel should have completed the Air & Maritime Platform Protection (APP) Foundation and Advanced courses prior to attendance.
Location: UK or Overseas
This Weapon System Exploitation course will provide personnel with the knowledge required to build candidate weapon system models from Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) data for subsequent exploitation and Countermeasures (CM) development.
Course Duration: 10 days
Course Pre-Requisites: Personnel should have an existing knowledge of Radar prior to attendance.
Location: UK or Overseas
This Countermeasures (CM) Design course builds on the Weapon System Exploitation course and will provide personnel with in-depth knowledge and skills for exploiting and understanding CM techniques, allowing the construction of candidate CM tactics. Theory lessons are consolidated by exercises and case studies through the use of CM techniques built into defensive tactics.

Course Pre-Requisites: Personnel should have completed the Weapon System Exploitation Introduction course or Threat Vulnerability Assessment and Countermeasures Development (TVACD) course prior to attendance.

The Countermeasures (CM) Development and Platform Protection course utilises modelling software and builds on the CM Design course. The course will provide personnel with the knowledge to determine the susceptibility of a platform and establish the vulnerabilities of threat weapon systems. This information will be used to develop CM to maximise platform survivability. Theory lessons are consolidated by exercises and case studies through the use of engagement modelling software.

Course Pre-Requisite: Personnel should have completed the Countermeasures (CM) Design course or equivalent prior to attending this course.
Location: UK or Overseas
This Communications Intelligence (COMINT) Analysis course uses a combination of lectures, practical exercises and scenarios, providing a knowledge and understanding of COMINT analysis enabling personnel to carry out the roles and responsibilities of a COMINT analyst.
Course Duration: 10 days
Course Pre-Requisite: Although not a prerequisite, it would be beneficial for personnel to have completed the Electronic Warfare (EW) Foundation course and/or fulfilled the role of a COMINT operator prior to attendance.
Location: UK or Overseas
This Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) Analysis course uses a combination of lectures, practical exercises and scenarios, providing a knowledge and understanding of ELINT Analysis enabling personnel to carry out the roles and responsibilities of the ELINT analyst.
Course Duration: 10 days
Course Pre-Requisite: Personnel should have an existing knowledge of Radar prior to attendance.
Location: UK or Overseas
This Electronic Warfare (EW) Junior Managers course is designed to introduce Air, Land and Maritime EW personnel to EW mission planning and the formal processes behind EW deployments. Attendees will be furnished with the skills required to successfully deploy EW sensors against a variety of target types and to manage the deployed assets and EW personnel.
Course Duration: 5 days
Course Pre-Requisites: Successful completion of Electronic Warfare (EW) Foundation course or previous experience as an EW Operator would be highly beneficial.
Location: UK or Overseas
This Electronic Warfare (EW) Joint Staff course will provide Air, Land and Maritime EW personnel with in-depth knowledge of EW Staff responsibilities and an overview of EW support to the Joint Force Commander (JFC). Attendees will gain an appreciation of offensive EW effects and techniques, enabling a more successful contribution to EW Staff planning at the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) level.

Course Pre-Requisite: No prior knowledge is required in order to participate in this course although a basic understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW) would be beneficial.
Location: UK or Overseas
This Electronic Warfare Operational Support (EWOS) course will provide personnel with knowledge and understanding of how a typical EWOS Centre provides the requisite EW support to operational frontline formations. The purpose and capabilities of an EWOS centre are covered along with the development processes used to provide EW mission data and guidance.

Course Pre-Requisite: No prior knowledge is required although completion of the Electronic Warfare (EW) Foundation course would be beneficial prior attendance.

This Electronic Warfare Database Management Systems (EWDBMS) course will provide personnel with theoretical and practical experience of EWDBMS. The requirement for effective data and database management to support EW will be covered along with the necessary structures and features of a modern EWDBMS. Access to advanced EWDBMS application software will be provided to support practical exercises.
Course Duration: 5 days
Course Pre-Requisite: No prior knowledge is required in order to participate in this course although a basic understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW) would be beneficial.
Location: UK or Overseas
This Battlespace Spectrum Management (BSM) course will give personnel knowledge of the planning, coordination and management of the Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) through operational, engineering and administrative procedures.
Course Duration: 5 days
Course Pre-Requisite: No prior knowledge is required in order to participate in this course although a basic understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW) would be beneficial.
Location: UK or Overseas
This NEWTS User course implements our knowledge of real-life EW operations through the use of our non-operational, procedural training application, Networked Electronic Warfare Training Simulator (NEWTS). Personnel will gain knowledge in planning and direction of EW assets, collection and exploitation of communications data, processing, analysis and collation of information, and production, dissemination and reporting of intelligence to commanders.

This THURBON™ User course will provide personnel with a sound understanding of the THURBON™ Electronic Warfare Database Management System (EWDBMS) enabling them to operate the system and use all of its roles and functions.
